Forty-one years of sailing between Cebu and Leyte
Roble Shipping was incorporated on 20 February 1985 with one vessel. Today it's twenty-one, and about 350 people ashore and at sea.
Sample announcement — illustrative
On 20 February 1985, Engr. Jose Luma-ad Roble, Jr. of Danao City registered a shipping company with a single vessel, M/V Marao, and put it to work on the Cebu–Leyte crossing.
Forty-one years on, the fleet has grown to twenty-one vessels, the routes stretch across Regions VII and VIII, and about 350 people keep the line running — officers and ratings at sea, ticket clerks and freight staff ashore.
What hasn't changed is the reason the company exists: getting people, vehicles and cargo across the water safely, on a schedule they can plan around. That's still the job, every night a vessel leaves Pier 3.
